• Dental Implants. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is surgically placed in the jaw. A single dental implant can support a crown to replace one tooth. Multiple implants can support a bridge or dentures. Dental implants provide a secure anchor for a dental prosthetic.  

• Same Day Crowns. Advanced technology makes it possible to get a crown placed over a tooth in as little as one appointment. The crown is made in the office rather than in a distant lab, so you no longer have to wait for shipping. 

• Digital Dentures. Dentures that are designed using digital technology are more likely to fit accurately and feel more comfortable. We take digital images of your teeth to create dentures that look natural and function effectively. 

• Snoring and Sleep Apnea Treatment. Snoring is a warning sign of sleep apnea, a disorder that causes obstructions to your breathing when you’re asleep. We can provide you with a custom fit oral appliance that can stop snoring and keep your airway open while you sleep. 

• Treatment of TMJ Disorders. TMJ disorder is a condition affecting the temporomandibular joint where your lower jaw connects with your skull. It causes pain and limited range of motion in the jaw. We provide treatment for TMJ disorder that can relieve your pain and improve the function of your jaw.  

• BOTOX® and JUVÉDERM® XC. These are cosmetic treatments used to improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in the facial tissue. BOTOX® is injected into the forehead and around the eyes. JUVÉDERM® XC is injected around the mouth and lips. BOTOX® can also be used for TMJ treatment in some cases. 

• Periodontal Procedures. Periodontal procedures are used to treat the support structures for the teeth, including the gums and jaw. Scaling and root planing, periodontal splinting, crown lengthening, gum grafting, bone grafting, osseous surgery, bone regeneration and ridge preservation are all periodontal procedures that we provide. 

• Pediatric Dentistry. Pediatric dentistry refers to dental care for children and teenagers. When appropriate, we can provide all of the same services for children and teens that we provide for adults, and even some additional services that are specific to children’s dental needs.  

• Sedation Dentistry. For patients with dental anxiety or for invasive procedures, we offer sedation dentistry. Our sedation options include nitrous oxide, conscious oral sedation, and IV sedation. 
  
  
• Root Canal Therapy. A tooth may need a root canal due to severe decay or damage that affects the dental pulp, the soft tissue inside the tooth. Root canal therapy involves removing the dental pulp and filling the tooth with a rubbery material that fortifies the tooth and prevents infection. 

Do children need to see a pediatric dentist?

Although there are pediatric dental practices that are focused specifically on children’s dentistry,  a family dental practice can provide the same services. An added benefit is that your child won’t have to transfer to a new dentist when they reach adulthood. 

What is the difference between a dental implant and a bridge?

Both dental implants and bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. The difference is in the support system. A bridge is anchored by crowns placed over the healthy teeth on either side of the gap. A dental implant is anchored by an artificial titanium post that is placed in the jaw to act like a tooth root. Dental implants are considered to be the highest quality tooth replacement option. 

What’s the best way to whiten your teeth?

Professional teeth whitening is significantly more effective than over the counter whitening products. We provide in-office and at-home whitening treatments that provide dramatic results in a short amount of time. 

Is it worth it to fill a cavity in a baby tooth?

Children sometimes develop cavities as they are learning to brush their teeth effectively. Even if the cavity is in a baby tooth that may eventually be shed, it is still beneficial to have the cavity filled. An untreated cavity can worsen until a painful infection occurs, which can spread to the neighboring teeth. Having a tooth pulled before it is naturally shed allows the other teeth to shift out of place and block the permanent tooth from coming in correctly. A simple cavity filling can prevent a wide variety of dental problems and is the recommended treatment option. 

How often should I go to the dentist?

People of all ages should go to the dentist every 6 months for cleanings and oral exams. Dental cleanings remove plaque and calculus from the teeth before it can cause decay or gum disease. An oral examination assesses the health of the mouth and identifies any abnormalities that may need to be addressed. Early detection of oral health issues can prevent more serious conditions.
